2010 - July NEWSFLASH!!!

2010 - July...
La, La, La Di Da... More Happy Bangles are on their way, but they're not quite here yet. So close, so close. Such a Wonder-Full project for chilly wintertime in Melbourne. Some Happy Bangles have already flown the coop, two headed for the UK!!!
I received a very kooky addition to Duck Palace this week. It's on the left and I am curious if you can guess what it is? Took me a little while, but the writing on the box did assist somewhat!
Will report in with more soonish with photos of the new bangles, but probably best after some more varnishing sessions...

2010 - Mid June Update...
I just couldn't wait 'til the end of the month!!! It amazes me how the Ducks keep arriving...all shapes, sizes and types. New ones can be found in the Palace. Thanks once again!
It has been a long time since I've heard from any of the wandering Nutters...and to my delight, this week I received an update of the adventures of Pepperjack. He usually resides in the UK, but recently ventured to Germany...
This year, Kingston Arts Network was invited to judge the Chelsea Heights Primary School Art Show held on the 26th June 2010. President Tony had the challenging task of judging the categories of Prep, Grades 1 & 2 and Grades 3 & 4, whilst world famous local artist Craig Penny judged the Grade 5 & 6. I was invited along to take some photographs and was amazed at the creations of the children and the Art Show as a whole. Well done to all involved. Images will be added to the KAN website over the next day or so.
And finally, my blog has had a little overhaul. Feedback?

2010 - June...
Well June has arrived and I'm not quite ready for it to be here. May turned out to be rather productive as far as time in The Studio goes, but that often means that my paperwork, blog and in particular, this website, have been a little neglected. So let's get started with an update...
I've received some lovely new additions to Duck Palace, some Duck Paperclips, Kooky Ducks and although the following are not Quackers, they are just the type of amazing creation that is welcome in the Palace regardless...an incredible Sunflower Bag all the way from the UK and a wonderful Elmo/Sesame Street Belt. Thank You All!!! The most precious addition? Two hand painted gifts from TK Productions that have their own treasured place above the door to Duck Palace.
Those of you who keep an eye on my my blog and fb page will be aware of my newest creation... Bangles! So if you're keen to purchase some Sammy Nuttall Art to wear, just click on the image above to view the current Bangles ready for new homes. Thanks to all those who have sent me lovely feedback already!

2010 - May...
MAYbe I'll manage more time in The Studio in MAY? No matter how well I plot and plan, sometimes time in The Studio just seems to elude me. Perhaps whilst I'm doing mundane tasks the creative process is chugging along in my subconscious, gestating and accumulating ideas and passion for a new or renewed project? And then, when the time is right, I find myself back in my sanctuary...and everything just flows. Perhaps...
I've added even more Quotes, including the following I received (at a particularly appropriate time) from a precious friend. Thought you might appreciate it too...

2010 - April...
Wishing You and Yours A Happy, Safe and Peaceful Easter...
Greetings! Have managed some more time in The Studio over the past month (doing well this year) and hope to post some pics of new paintings here very soon. The Bunnies on the right are for sale but not yet added to that bit of this site. If you are interested in purchasing them, please just contact me.
I'm still involved in with KAN and have also managed to get myself involved with a couple of other Art Events for later this year...just can't seem to say no! Will post details here, on my blog and fb as they come to hand.
For those of you that enjoy the Quotes page on this site, there are some new additions to the bottom of the page. My current fav is the following quote by Walt Disney "Around here, however, we don't look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths." Just love it! If you have a particular quote or affirmation that particularly inspires you, I'd love to hear about it. Again, this month more Quackers have arrived. How amazing you are!

2010 - March...
I've been rather busy, some of you may have noticed that March update is a little (?) late this year. Better late than never, I say! Have been busy in The Studio, creating a few commissions and playing with photography a little more. Thank you again to all those people who have forwarded Ducks for the Palace, I am always so excited to receive new recruits and am grateful that you think to send them my way.

And finally, Sammy Nuttall Art has spread to...Denmark! The "Oscar" design to the left is the 1st piece of my art (that I know of) that has travelled to Denmark and I'm thrilled! 2010 - February...(well almost)!
"Once Upon A Time there was an artist who thought it may be a good idea to incorporate latex, feathers, googly eyes and glue into her art, just for fun". Well why not? When warning bells started clanging in my brain, perhaps I should have taken notice! These creations are probably the first and (almost) the last of this style as it's difficult to paint whilst fingers are stuck together with super glue... These kooky creations have not yet been priced or added to the "For Sale" section of this site, so if you're interested in any, please just make me an offer and I shall consider it!
Also, there are as is often the case, new Ducks in the Palace! Why not visit?

2010 - January...
Greetings All! Well where to start? Firstly, HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU! May your most wonderful dreams fill your days and new adventures bring unexpected joy! Sending you Happy, Joy, Love, Fun, Dreams, Calm and Peace...
Now, how about a brief overview of everything creative in my world and you can take your pick? I love Christmas and find it such a creative time of year, from decorating the tree to wrapping gifts and sending cards, it seems a time for less painting and drawing and keeping busy with the above and catching up with loved ones. I managed a few days away recently and dabbled with some new sketches, including the one above. The others are not quite ready for sharing with you....but stay tuned! I've also been playing a lot with photography over the past few weeks and hope to share some images with you soon(ish).
Due in part to the hot Melbourne weather, The Nutters are still enjoying a well earned break. However, as always, Sammy A Nutter is still trekking around our planet, championing the cause of AuCaDo. I'm so proud of him! The best way to keep track of Sammy is to follow him on facebook. Whilst you're there (and if you haven't already), why not consider following Sammy Nuttall Art there too?
That's it for now, my plans of tidying the studio have been shoved to the side until the temperature is quite a bit milder, so paperwork it is (?), unless of course I can get distracted elsewhere!
